YogaThe science of Yoga is divided into several branches. Among the best known and leading divisions are (1) Hatha Yoga (2) Raja Yoga (3) Gnani Yoga Each brabch of Yoga is but a path toward the one end- unfoldment, ,development, and growth. He who wishes first to develop, control and strenghthen, his physical body so as to render it a fit instrument of the Higher Self, follows the path of "Hatha Yoga". He who would develop his will-power and mental faculties unfolding the inner senses, and latent powers, follows the path of "Raja Yoga". He who wishes to develop by "knowing" by studing the fundamental principles, and the wonderful truths underlying Life, follows the path of "Gnani Yoga". (1) Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is that division of the Yoga Philosophy which deals with the physical body
-- its care -- its well being -- its health -- its strength -- and all that tends to
keep it in its natural and normal state of health.
(2) Raja Yoga Raja Yoga deals with the mind;its control;its development;its unfoldment. (3) Gnani Yoga Gnani Yoga deals with the scientific and intellectual knowing of the great questions regarding Life and what lies back of Life- the Riddle of the Universe. LAUGHTER Laughter without worry is very crucial for our health. Our world is dominated by tensions and mental worries. If we laugh without restraint, both the tension of mind and exhaustion of body are removed. The body gets new strength, bad temper is relieved, and we feel interested in our work. There are three ways to laugh.Laughing with mouth shut: Laughing without sound: Laugh loudly with open mouth in convulsive merriment. Do it five times. This will provide excellent exercise for your lungs and abdomen. The intestines will be toned up. |
